My third project in ceramics this semester. Long story short, yes, it is a Zelda Chess Set. This took me over all about 30 hours, including building, painting, and finishing each piece by hand.

This is the profile view. I will be uploading other detail shots of the characters.

(I apologize if I put this in the wrong category. I was unable to find a ceramics/craft art under the Fan Art or Game listings)

Note: Several of you have asked why Midna is on "Gannon's side". My answer to that is this was less about a battle of Good verses Evil, as much as it was about opposites. For each shape/monster/person, I wanted to have their opposite be facing them on the board. Gannon and Link were the only two that I had decided needed to be on the board. Zelda and Midna are, quite literally, opposites from Twilight Princess. So I decided that was the best route to take, as opposed to Twinrova or someone else of 'less power'. <3

...I think you should switch the rooks to bishops
Knights to rooks
and bishops to knights for the dark side

That way Gorons oppose Darknuts, River Zoras oppose Lake/Ocean Zoras, and Like-Likes oppose Deku-trees*... not the best fit at the end, but the first 2 work a bit better.

I don't remember the Wind Waker name for them...

This looks excellent though. Do you still have it?

What are the bishops for the good side? Are they Deku Scrubs? Its hard to tell from this angle =3
I would LOVE to do something like this, but I don't know the first thing about sculpting or ceramic making... lol
